Polo Ralph Lauren to open Regent Street store ahead of LFW

Polo Ralph Lauren's London flagship will be officially opened on 15 September, one day ahead of the opening of London Fashion Week next week.

The three-storey 17,561 sq ft store will stock the full collection of men's, women's and children's apparel and offer a different shopping experience on each level.

A Custom Polo Shop will feature on the lower level, alongside men's casualwear, to encourage customers to put their own stamp on Polo designs. The ground floor has been designed to resemble a club-like space, selling haberdashery and other tailored menswear, while the upper level features womenswear and childrenswear.

It will also feature a Ralph's Coffee + Bar, a concept it has rolled out in Paris and New York, but the Regent Street offer will have a particular London spin.

Ralph Lauren, chief creative officer of the Ralph Lauren Corporation, said London was the "perfect city to showcase to Europe the energetic personality of Polo". "The English way of life, the way it blends modern innovation with an innate appreciation for tradition, has always inspired me," Lauren said.

The Polo Ralph Lauren store is the latest in a line of new stores from major US brands to open on the London street. Michael Kors opened a flagship on the street earlier this year, as did Kate Spade, while Coach and Stuart Weitzman are set to open in the site of the former Jaeger store. Canadian athleisure brand Lululemon will open a store on Regent Street this winter.
