Live Unlimited London, the plus-size fashion business, has revealed that 2022 net sales increased by 69% to £9.8 million, driven by a shift in customer shopping trends.

2022 also marked the first year that Live Unlimited has seen a positive EBITDA result, coming after only three years of trading.

The business reported that its most popular product categories continued to be its dresses and blouses, with 2022 seeing a shift in customers "buying more heavily into day-to-night outfits". The last quarter of 2022 also saw a strong partywear collection, with sales largely driven by customers wanting to experience the first Christmas party season post-COVID.

Live Unlimited are in full control of their own manufacturing process, which allows the business to retain strong quality control throughout, from in-house print development, to sourcing through established suppliers. The business said that this has allowed them to be "much more resilient to market fluctuations and current supply chain challenges" as a result.

Rachel Heather, CEO & Co-founder commented on the results: "2022 has been a very exciting year, our sales have increased across all of our retail channels, including NEXT, John Lewis, Zalando, and our own website."

Tracy Egan, Creative Director & Co-founder, added: "Here at Live Unlimited we have always believed that versatility of product is key to success and have always been focussed on designing clothes with that, and longevity in mind. I truly believe that it is more important now than ever.

"With the ongoing cost of living crisis and the lines between seasons becoming increasingly blurred, we want to offer our customer a quality and responsibly sourced garment that she can wear for years to come. We aim for our collections to be part of the small section of a woman's wardrobe that she goes to time after time."
