Pitti Immagine has invited Italian menswear couture house Brioni to celebrate its 75th anniversary with a special presentation to be held in Florence during the opening day of Pitti Uomo 97 on 7 January 2020.

The event, to be curated by fashion historian and curator Olivier Saillard, will present the AW20 collection through a unique installation which will pay tribute to the brand’s sartorial heritage.

The presentation will mark Brioni’s return to Florence where the house sealed its reputation by hosting the first ever men’s fashion show at the Sala Bianca of Palazzo Pitti in 1952.

Pitti Immagine CEO, Raffaello Napoleone, says: “It is an honour for Pitti Immagine to host Brioni’s 75th anniversary celebrations. Florence played an important role in the history of this prestigious brand, with Brioni having held the first ever men's fashion show in 1952. This special event, with Olivier Saillard as exceptional curator, will be a tribute to the heritage of Brioni, which continues to be a reference in menswear.”

Founded in Rome in 1945, Brioni is recognised as the one of the world’s most prestigious menswear luxury houses, offering sartorial ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and eyewear
