Pitti Immagine has announced the dates of its 2021 fairs, while cautiously warning it will “have to carefully follow the evolution of the health situation.”

Pitti Uomo is set to take place at its regular Fortezza da Basso venue in Florence from 15-17 June 2021, being cut from its usual four days to three.

Pitti Bimbo will take place at Fortezza da Basso on 23-25 June, 2021, and Pitti Filati will take place on 30 June – 2 July at the Stazione Leopolda.

Pitti Immagine CEO, Raffaello Napoleone, said: “While work continues with excellent results on the Connect digital platform, which will remain online with the winter collections and special events until the first week of April, we are opening registrations for the next summer cycle by sending out the invitations to our exhibitors in order to give companies some clear reference points for scheduling their activities.

“It’s with full awareness that, between now and the summer, we will all have to carefully follow the evolution of the health situation. We will act promptly whatever the circumstances.”

General Manager of Pitti Immagine, Agostino Poletto, added: “We have decided to reduce Pitti Uomo from four to three days in order to accommodate the requests for the maximum concentration and savings in terms of expenses that we have received from exhibitors.

“The organisational and safety plan for the Fortezza da Basso, as well as the other venues, has been prepared – it was actually already sorted – and we are coordinating with all the institutional subjects, such as City Council, and private entities such as carriers, airports, stations and hotels involved in the overall fair activities. The entire summer cycle will be characterised by a strong integration between the physical and digital format.
