Pitti cancels February physical show

Pitti Uomo has cancelled its physical edition, which was set to take place on the later than usual dates of 21-23 February in Florence, following the latest guidelines from the Italian government banning all physical fairs until 5 March, 2021, due to the continued COVID-19 outbreak.

The winter editions of Pitti Uomo, Bimbo and Filati will now only be held on the digital Pitti Connect platform, with content available until the beginning of April, 2021.

Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine, said: “In the last few weeks, the probability of being able to hold the fairs in a physical format had clearly decreased, but we had decided to keep the option open until the suspension was officially confirmed, because we were aware of the strong desire of our exhibitors and buyers to physically meet in person, despite the many problems that this could entail.”

The organisers now look with optimism to be able to put on the next physical show in summer 2021.
