Phoebe Philo took to Instagram to announce that her highly anticipated and undoubtedly minimalist label is set to launch in September 2023.

After a three-year absence, Phoebe Philo has announced her eponymous label will be coming to fruition in September. Last July, she released a statement announcing that her first brand will sell "clothing and accessories rooted in exceptional quality and design."

It was then announced that luxury conglomerate LVMH would be financially backing Philo, holding a minority stake in the business. Philo noted in her statement: "to be independent, to govern and experiment on my own terms is hugely significant to me."

Today, the acclaimed British designer, took to her newly-established Instagram to say: "Our inaugural collection will be revealed and available on our website,, in September 2023. We will be opening for registration in July 2023 and look forward to being back in touch then."

The Instagram post garnered over 15,000 likes in under two hours.

The designer became a cult hero in the fashion industry after taking the helm at the French luxury house Céline from 2008 to 2018. Prior to this, she was Creative Director at Chloé from 2001 to 2006. The minimalist design expression that she perfected at Céline appealed to women who craved upmarket quality and designs that weren't overtly decorative.

Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH, commented: "Phoebe Philo is one of the most talented designers of our time… I am very happy to partner with Phoebe on her entrepreneurial adventure."
