High street womenswear brand Phase Eight, part of The Foschini Group (TFG) which also owns Whistles, Hobbs, Studio 8 and Damsel in a Dress, has hired former Michael Kors retail director, Gail Finnegan, as its new global retail director.

Finnegan was also previously head of international retail at Superdry between 2014 and 2016, and was retail and store operations for Europe at Forever 21 for four years prior to that, so she brings a wealth of experience to her new role.

Phase Eight’s managing director, Simon Pickering, said: “I am delighted Gail has joined us at this exciting time, just as we are starting to work on the transformation programme for our store portfolio.

“Gail has an outstanding reputation within the industry and brings a wealth of knowledge from international fashion brands. I look forward to working with Gail on creating an exceptional brand experience for our customers.”
