People Moves, May 2026: Paul Smith, Puma, Lanvin and more...

This month, we have seen a number of important moves in the luxury sector, from Lanvin appointing a new CEO, to Tod's CEO leaving the company after less than one year in the role, and Ferragamo appointing a new Chief Brand Officer.

We have also seen companies strengthening their leadership teams to boost expansion plans - namely SKIMS confirming its Senior Director of Retail for EMEA. Meanwhile, new appointments at Paul Smith and Puma signal that both brands are continuing to push ahead with their transformation efforts.

TheIndustry.fashion highlights the most notable appointments, spanning roles from CEOs and commercial leadership to creative directors and finance positions.

Lanvin appoints new CEO with plans to 'rebuild desirability'

Maison Lanvin, “the oldest couture house in Paris”, announced the appointment of Barbara Werschine as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Andy Lew, who had served as CEO of Lanvin since July 2025. Werschine was most recently CEO at Eric Bompard, where she spent four years from 2020 to 2024.

Givenchy taps former Etro Creative Director as Head of Leather Goods Design

Givenchy appointed Italian designer Marco De Vincenzo as Head of Leather Goods Design to work under the luxury brand’s British Creative Director, Sarah Burton.

Tod’s confirms exit of CEO

Italian luxury group Tod's confirmed the departure of Chief Executive John Galantic after less than two years in the role. Galantic, who became CEO in September 2024, left the company at the end of April for personal reasons. His successor has not yet been named.

Mango's Jonathan Andic steps down amid investigation into father’s death

Mango Executive Vice President Jonathan Andic temporarily stepped away from his responsibilities within the company amid the ongoing investigation into his father’s death. In an open letter published on Tuesday, Andic strongly denied the allegations, saying they bore “no relation to reality”, while acknowledging that “dismantling it” would likely take a considerable amount of time.

British department store Harvey Nichols promoted Shaun Donnelly to Buying Director for Non Apparel and Menswear. Donnelly confirmed the appointment in a post on LinkedIn, writing: "[I'm] looking forward to driving the next phase of growth across menswear, footwear and accessories with an incredible team."
