Pentland Brands appoints new Creative Director

Pentland Brands, owner of Ellesse and Speedo, has appointed Paisley Wright as its new Director of Creative.

Wright, who joins the business this month, will lead the group's plans to transform the Pentland Creative Agency into a digital-first in-house content agency.

She will also be tasked with driving how the brands communicate and engage with their consumers, including embracing digital-first storytelling that can be used throughout the marketing funnel.

Wright joins Pentland Brands from Portas, where she has served as Deputy Managing Director since 2020. Prior to this, she held a number of roles at BBH London, working with brands including Levi’s, Matalan, Absolut, Costa Coffee and The Guardian.

Pentland Brands owns a number of sports, outdoor and lifestyle brands including Speedo, Berghaus and Ellesse and Mitre. The group also holds the UK footwear license for Kickers and the UK distributor for Lacoste footwear and is the majority shareholder of JD Sports.
