Paul Smith to open in Birmingham's Mailbox

Lauretta Roberts
01 September 2016

Paul Smith will open a new store in Birmingham's premium shopping destination the Mailbox this autumn.

The 1,634sqm space will overlook the centre's Urban Room and will feature white concrete walls and furniture influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement. It will stock the designer's men's and women's collections as well as a curated selection of shoes, accessories and artworks.

Smith's stores each have a unique feel to them and he is promising some surprises for Birmingham. “From a giant bright pink box in Los Angeles to a Victorian townhouse with a cast iron facade in London, I always try to come up with totally unique shops, wherever they are in the world," he said. “What’s lovely about this one is it has a great mix of clothes and accessories for men and women, as well as a few unexpected twists and turns too!”

Near neighbours in the Mailbox centre include Harvey Nichols, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein Underwear, BOSS, Armani Collezioni, LK Bennett and Gieves & Hawkes, as well as an array of premium leisure and dining destinations.

The Mailbox is also about to open a new Tom's Kitchen restaurant from chef Tom Aikens, which will be its first outside London.
