Italian sportswear brand Paul & Shark has revealed Italy national football team manager and former player Roberto Mancini as its latest brand ambassador.
As “a man of unique style and a frequent presence in the best dressed men rankings,” Mancini will collaborate on capsule collections with Paul & Shark, with an emphasis on style with sustainability, and innovative materials.
He becomes the second new brand ambassador, following the recent announcement of Antonio Giovinazzi, the Alfa Romeo Formula 1 racing driver.
The signing of Italy manager Mancini is timely, as it comes ahead of the UEFA European Football Championship (“the Euros”) to be played this summer, following the forced postponement of ‘Euro 2020’ last summer due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Always a dapper dresser on the touchline, Mancini is perhaps best known in England as being the former manager of Manchester City, from 2009 – 2013. He famously guided the club to its first league title in 44 years in the 2011/12 season. It came with a dramatic 3-2 victory, with two goals in injury time, on the last day of the season, leading to it being called “the best match of the best last day of the season in English football history,” as they pipped bitter rivals Manchester United to the title.
