Italian sportswear brand Paul & Shark has teamed up with cult outdoors-inspired Japanese fashion brand White Mountaineering on a capsule collection for AW21 – which has launched on Pitti Uomo’s digital platform, Pitti Connect.

The cutting-edge men’s collection consists of dual-branded all black T-shirts, sweaters, vests and jackets, including modern takes on Paul & Shark’s Typhoon 20000 jacket.

It’s a real meeting of White Mountaineering’s innovative design vision alongside Paul & Shark’s heritage and expertise, resulting in a collection of high quality and high-performance outdoor garments with an “understated elegance.”

Japanese creative Yosuke Aizawa, who was previously famed designer Junya Watanabe’s protégé, founded White Mountaineering in 2006 with a focus on usability and technology applied to the great outdoors.

Aizawa’s innovative vision partnered with Paul & Shark’s heritage articulate an all-black, slim-fitting collection of high-quality performance outdoor garments with White Mountaineering's unique modern aesthetic, and the trademark WM digital prints logoed across the garments.

Typhoon 20000 is the innovative treatment engineered exclusively by Paul & Shark. An ultra-thin membrane doesn’t allow water drops to penetrate into the fabric, guaranteeing waterproof and windproof performance under all weather conditions.

The membrane is also designed with a highly breathable molecular structure that facilitates air circulation and ensures maximum breathability and dispersion of excess body heat. This is real tech meets fashion.

Aizawa updated versions of the Typhoon jacket feature detachable layers composed with a mix of technical fabrics, as well as Primaloft and wool.
