Paul Costelloe branches out into socks and bed linen with new license partners

Paul Costelloe has expanded its product offer with licensing partners for socks and bed linen, marking the evolution of the brand under the direction of William Costelloe, son of the brand’s late eponymous founder.

The new bedding collection, in partnership with Ferguson’s Irish Linen, has just launched, while the luxury socks collection for men and women, in partnership with Bullit Design UK, is launching for AW26.

The socks launch builds on a long-standing relationship, as Bullit Design UK has worked closely with the brand for many seasons, developing hosiery and socks for the Paul Costelloe couture collections showcased at London Fashion Week each season.

The new standalone collection is a natural extension of that successful partnership, bringing Paul Costelloe's signature blend of quality, craftsmanship, and timeless style to a dedicated retail offering across two distinct ranges: ‘City’ and ‘Weekend’. Every sock features hand-linked toe seams for a smoother finish and enhanced comfort.

Commenting on the launch, William Costelloe said: “By combining premium yarns, thoughtful design, and exceptional comfort, we've created a collection that offers strong appeal across both gifting and core retail categories.

“We look forward to introducing the range to customers and retail partners at Harrogate (the trade fair at Harrogate Convention Centre from 19-22 July 2026) this summer.”

Ferguson’s Irish Linen was established in 1854 and is widely recognised as being among the finest Irish weavers, making it the perfect fit for the new Paul Costelloe linen collection of bedding, which is entirely woven to order.

The late designer, who founded his eponymous label in Dublin in 1979 with luxury womenswear, was a lifelong champion of Irish linen on the international stage, utilising the natural fabric in his fashion collections throughout his entire career.

William Costelloe commented: “This collection is incredibly personal to us. Linen was always something my father felt deeply passionate about from the very beginning of his career. He understood its beauty, its integrity, and its connection to Irish craftsmanship long before sustainability became part of the wider conversation.”

Paul Costelloe sadly passed away at the age of 80 in November 2025, with his son William then tasked with taking the leadership reins, signalling a fresh chapter in the brand’s storied legacy.

William Costelloe added: “Though my father is greatly missed, his creative spirit and love for timeless design continue to inspire everything we do.”
