PANGAIA showcases sustainability with Pop Colour collection

Innovative and sustainable brand, PANGAIA, has released a core collection created in harmony with, and inspired by, nature.

The collection, 7 Pop Colour, features daily high-street essentials including t-shirts, hoodies & track pants, presented in bright and vibrant colours. From the 7 colours of the rainbow, to Earth’s 7 continents, to the 7 seas that unite millions of cultures, people and creatures —  PANGAIA sees 7 is a symbol of unity.

PANGAIA is a direct-to-consumer materials science company bringing textile innovations into the world through everyday lifestyle products. Every technology the brand works with aims to solve an environmental problem of the fashion industry.

Where most other brands use around 10-30% recycled cotton, PANGAIA uses 45% in their hoodies and track pants, mixed with 55% organic cotton. They also choose organic cotton where most companies still use recycled polyester — a critical pollutant due to microplastics.

The 7 Pop Colour collection uses a dyeing process with low water consumption and treatment of textile effluents, aiming to reuse water during the washing processes. This is a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly process which reduces the toxic impact on effluent generation.

Mainstream fashion brands such as Adidas and Stella McCartney have taken huge steps in the last year towards sustainability, with Adidas pledging that from 2024 onwards it will use only recycled polyester in every product. Stella McCartney launched the worlds first 100% recycled hoodie last year, created from garment waste with NuCycl fiber by Evrnu.
