Pandora taps former-CEO of The Body Shop as MD for Northern Europe.
David Boynton, former Chief Executive Officer at The Body Shop, has joined Pandora as Managing Director for Northern Europe.
Boynton's 25 years of experience span the beauty, fashion and retail sectors. As former CEO of The Body Shop (from 2017 to 2023) he led the brand through the transition of ownership from L’Oréal to Natura, and championed a purpose-led transformation that also led to the brand being certified as a B-Corp.
He now joins the jewellery company in a permanent leadership position after spending nine months as Interim General Manager for Pandora’s Central Eastern Europe team.
“I’ve always been drawn to great brands with real soul, and Pandora has that in abundance — a powerful brand, exceptional talent, a strong spirit of entrepreneurship, and a values-driven culture that genuinely shows up in how the business operates,” Boynton shared in a LinkedIn post on his appointment.
Boynton also brings fashion-sector experience, having served as Chief Executive of the UK menswear brand Charles Tyrwhitt. Before that, he spent nine years at the L’Occitane Group, including four as its CEO.
Pandora has been undergoing its own transformation as it prepares for a change in leadership in March, when former CMO Berta de Pablos-Barbier, will take over as Pandora’s new CEO.
In August 2025 the jewellery company had reported a drop in UK sales as it hiked prices in response to soaring silver and gold costs, and as it prepared to take a financial hit from US tariffs.
Yet for Boynton the future is bright, and he is “excited to be joining the business at the start of a new chapter”. He added that “the foundations are incredibly strong, and the opportunity ahead is compelling.”
