On-demand fashion delivery app NIFT officially launches in London

A new marketplace app, NIFT (Need It For Tonight), that offers a Deliveroo-style on-demand delivery service to fashion brands and retailers has officially launched in London. 

The new app will give Londoners access to fashion from their favourite retailers in under 90 minutes, eliminating missed and slow deliveries. It is the brainchild of sister duo Simone and Roxanne Oloman, whose experience includes retail and tech for Simone, and sales and marketing for Roxanne.

NIFT is a three way app that connects the customers to the shops and then to the rider. Similar to food-delivery apps, customers can place their order by choosing from a variety of brands and multi-brand boutiques.

The order is then managed by the retailer who can accept the orders in real time as they come through. Finally, the order is picked up by a rider and delivered to the customer. Orders take under 90 minutes from placement to receipt, with proprietary software enabling NIFT to plug directly into each store’s stock list, ensuring product is displayed correctly in real time to browsing customers to purchase.

Brands and boutiques in the capital already signed up to these service include Wild Swans, Rejina Pyo, Been London, West Carolina Boutique, Cult Mia and Blue Nude, with more expected to be added on a weekly basis throughout summer 2023. The company says 50 more brands are lined up to be added already.

The service has been designed with sustainability in mind with NIFT working with conscious, contemporary and luxury brands directly as well as independent boutiques. Transportation is made possible through cargo, push bikes and electric vehicles whenever their last mile delivery partner can provide effectively. NIFT is also a partner of Ecologi, planting a tree for every order.

“Whilst we are here to revolutionise the concept of convenience, NIFT actually goes beyond just wanting something immediately. With our real-time delivery tracking we want to empower customers to take charge of their clothes deliveries like never before, eliminating the fear of missed or delayed packages. We want to redefine what it means to have a truly hassle-free shopping experience," founders Simone and Roxanne Oloman said.
