Oliver Spencerand British folding bicycle maker Brompton Bicycles continue from their first collaboration last year with a new sportswear-influenced option for the casual city rider.

Following the introduction of the Brompton blazer in the debut collaboration, this release reveals a hooded jacket constructed from a water-repellent lightweight Italian performance cloth. Fully lined with a camouflage fabric, the jacket carries over the unique strap details from the original Brompton blazer, allowing it to be peeled off and worn over the shoulders. The jacket features a retroreflective thread stitched in a grid pattern to ensure optimum visibility when riding in the city after dark.

Oliver Spencer, founder of the British menswear brand said: “I wanted to take this hooded jacket in a slightly different direction to the blazer, creating something for a creative type who enjoys a more relaxed dress code during the week but would happily wear the jacket with his weekend fits. Hence the hoodie silhouette, which I think is modern and versatile. I wanted to incorporate pattern somehow but didn’t want to take away from the kind of urban minimalism of the fabric, so the retroreflective grid was the perfect solution for both style and safety."

The hooded jacket is available from Friday, 8th October at all Oliver Spencer stores and online at Clothing and Brompton Bicycles.
