Oki-ni returns to ownership of founders Four Holdings

Men's platform Oki-ni.com has been acquired by its founders Four Holdings, who bought it back from French media group Menlook.

The original Oki-ni was founded by Four Marketing, a division of Four Holdings, in 2001 as a concept store on London's Savile Row. It specialised in designer collaborations with brands such as Paul Smith, Levi's and Adidas.

Latterly it has been an online only proposition and was acquired by Menlook in 2013. Its website is currently offline with a message informing customers it will be back up and running in the coming months.

Four Marketing is a fashion agency representing brands such as CP Company, Stone Island, Woolrich, Velvet by Graham & Spencer and AG. It also runs retail stores and ecommerce operations for Woolrich, Stone Island and Velvet by Graham & Spencer, as well as owning multibrand retailers 18Montrose, which has stores in Nottingham and Glasgow (and soon London), and Present in London's Shoreditch and Hackney.

The business, which is 25%-owned by the Sports Direct group, acquired luxury lingerie brand Agent Provacateur in a pre-pack deal earlier this month.

Ben Banks, co-founder of Four Marketing, said buying back Oki-ni was a positive step. "Since creating Oki-ni in 2001, we have substantially grown our digital retail business and are now in a great position to take Oki-ni forward into a new phase."
