Glasgow-based etailer Oh Polly has reported record revenues of £15.6m during 2018 and aims at achieving more than £21m in turnover by the close of this financial year.

This would represent year-on-year growth of 140%, as the brand’s turnover has grown from £2.1m in 2015/16 to £5.3m in 2016/17 and £8.8m in 2017/18.

Claire Henderson, CEO and Co-Founder of Oh Polly, said: “Oh Polly has gone from strength to strength over the past year, growing our market share both in the UK and overseas. With around 20% of our revenue now coming from the US, we’ve got a huge opportunity to expand our sales within this lucrative market. With that success will come new jobs and investment, both within our UK operations and throughout our supply chain.

“The strength of our business is based on the quality of our product. We remain wholly focused on making beautiful clothes, designed by girls, for girls. Our loyal community of repeat customers is testament to the quality, creativity and relevance of our clothing lines.”

The brand has been ranked among the UK’s top ten fastest growing fast-fashion brands on Instagram and was the fifth most “engaged UK retail social media brand” in 2018. With an Instagram-focused sales strategy, Oh Polly has positioned itself as an industry leader in the competitive arena of online retail, specialising in women’s evening and party dresses.
