Footwear retailer Office has launched a 5,400 sq ft store at Centre:MK in Milton Keynes, following its closure in Midsummer Place, another of the city's shopping destinations.

The new store is positioned alongside the likes of Mango, Reiss and Mint Velvet, and will stock Office's range of footwear collections for women, men and kids.

Office's new bricks-and-mortar presence will offer popular brands such as Ugg, Dr Martens, Adidas, Nike, and New Balance, through its global partnerships.

Founded by Richard Wharton in 1983, Office was initially launched in the Hyper Hyper retail space on Kensington High Street. The name was chosen in irony as the retailer aimed to offer fashionable and affordable footwear, catering to a younger, trend-conscious audience.

Centre Director Kevin Duffy said: "As the latest brand to open at the centre, Office's launch signals a significant vote in confidence in Centre:MK.

"The brand’s return to the city spotlights our standing as the go-to location for leading retailers, a position bolstered by the best-in-class brands that continue to invest in the destination."

It comes after Centre:MK, which first opened in 1979, was recently awarded Gold International CSR Excellence Award, for the destinations community art installation, 'The Place Between'.

The work consisted of 345 eight metre long strands of 50,000 donated flowers and plants, individually hand strung together by volunteers over the course of several weeks. To that end, Office has pledged to reuse, repurpose and recycle any own-brand products that have been damaged in-store.
