Oasis and Warehouse CEO Hash Ladha departs

28 April 2020

Oasis and Warehouse CEO Hash Ladha has left the fashion chains following their fall into administration earlier this month.

Ladha had been with the former Aurora Fashions group, which owned the chains since 2010, having joined from ASOS. He was promoted to chief operating officer in 2013 becoming CEO in October 2018.

He has indicated his departure on his Linked-in profile, however Deloitte, which is handling the administration of the chains, which also own online menswear retailer The Idle Man, has not commented.

Oasis and Warehouse, which were owned by Icelandic bank Kaupthing, had been in talks with a potential buyer as the COVID-19 lockdown was implemented. However it had become impossible to sell it as a going concern and Deloitte was appointed on 15 April.

As a result of the administration the chains' 2,000 staff remain at risk. Some 200 were made redundant immediately after the administration.

The chains and The Idle Man continue to operate online while all stores are closed due to the mandatory shut-down of non-essential retail.

Group chief product officer Paula Stewart has also reportedly left her role.
