Nobody’s Child accelerates UK retail expansion with new Bath boutique
Womenswear brand Nobody’s Child is opening a new store at SouthGate Shopping Centre in Bath on 8 August 2026.
The 1,500 sq ft space is the brand’s eleventh standalone UK boutique and fourth opening of 2026, having opened a new store in Cambridge last month, as well as stores in Harrogate in April and at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent in March.
As with other Nobody’s Child stores, the new Bath boutique features reclaimed and vintage furniture and fittings, carefully curated by the brand’s in-house team.
Jody Plows, CEO of Nobody’s Child, said: “Bath has always felt like a natural home for Nobody's Child. It's a city that values craftsmanship, creativity and considered style, qualities that feel closely aligned with our own approach to design.
“We’re thrilled to open our doors here and welcome customers into the space to explore the collections up close, feel the quality of each piece and find styles made to be worn and loved season after season.”
Camilla Holdsworth, Senior Retail Leasing Manager at SouthGate Shopping Centre owner British Land, added: “The arrival of Nobody's Child at SouthGate is a fantastic addition to our fashion offering and reflects Bath's growing appeal to brands looking to extend their reach beyond London.
“With an affluent catchment, strong commuter links to the capital and a thriving visitor economy, we’re offering retailers access to a highly engaged customer base.
“Our leasing strategy is focused on creating a balanced mix of national names and growing brands that keeps the destination evolving. Nobody's Child is a great example of what we're bringing to SouthGate to ensure the destination continues to evolve in line with customer demand.”
To celebrate the opening, Nobody’s Child will host a special in-store launch event on 8 August, with gifts from two independent Bath businesses. Customers who make a purchase on the day will receive a complimentary cookie dough brownie from The Good Day Cafe, while the first 50 customers to spend £50 or more will also receive a complimentary mini bunch of flowers from Nice Bunch, while stocks last.
Nobody's Child also recently strengthened its senior team with two new appointments spanning merchandising and retail, as the brand continues to grow.
The brand appointed Jennie Clarke as Head of Merchandising and Amy Boswell, previously Executive Assistant to Nobody's Child CEO Jody Plows, as Interim Head of Retail.
Clarke previously spent 13 years at Phase Eight, most recently in the role of Head of Merchandising. Prior to that, she had stints at both Reiss and Hobbs.
