Nobis launches charity winter coat donation campaign

Premium outerwear brand Nobis has launched an international charity campaign ‘No Cold Shoulder’, with the aim to provide upcycled winter jackets to vulnerable communities.

Starting today, 20 November 2020, consumers can participate in a variety of ways to help give the gift of warmth in their community.

At the heart of the campaign is a resealable donation mailer bag with pre-paid postage to encourage the donation of a gently worn coat to a local charity in need. Consumers can order the mailer online or at any of the participating retailers’ e-commerce sites.

In the UK, the list of local charities partnering with Nobis stockists include Greaves with The Salvation Army (Glasgow), Stuarts with The Upper Room (London) and Phillip Browne with St Martins Housing Trust (Norwich).

£50 from any Nobis Jacket purchased from Nobis's e-commerce site throughout November will be also donated to charity.

No Cold Shoulder branded beanies and enamel pin packs will be available for purchase for those wishing to support the campaign without donating a jacket.

Nobis will also donate 100% of e-commerce sales of the No Cold Shoulder merchandise to The Salvation Army.

Robin Yates, Vice-President and Co-founder of Nobis, commented: "Nobis is Latin for ‘us,’ and since our early beginnings we have embraced the responsibility of community support within both our personal and corporate conduct.

"True to the ethos of our brand name, which aligns seamlessly with our personal values, the entire Nobis team is passionate to continue this commitment in launching the No Cold Shoulder global community campaign. With the help of our entire team including retail partners, ambassadors and brand supporters, we have targeted to keep upwards of 15,000 people around the globe warm this winter season.

"Even during an exceptionally challenging year, people are looking for ways to help. We want to make it easier than ever for our partners and customers to participate and provide warmth to children, families, and individuals in need with the No Cold Shoulder program.”

This year, the Institute of Fiscal Studies reported 22% of the UK population live below the poverty line, emphasising the need to provide winter protection to those desperate or in need.
