18 August 2021

Nike Underwear has called on the modelling services of Bayern Munich and Germany football star Leroy Sané to be the face – and body - of its new ‘Move to Zero’ underwear line and AW21 campaign.

‘Move to Zero’ is part of Nike’s journey towards zero carbon and waste, and the product line features Nike ‘ReLuxe’ – made with at least 75% recycled fibres.

It’s a continuation of Nike's commitment to sustainability and is driven by the belief that “protecting the planet means protecting the future of sport against climate change”.

The Nike Underwear collection is also made with Nike Dri-FIT technology to help deliver maximum comfort.

The Nike signing of footballer Sané to model its underwear echoes the move in December 2020 by Superdry to call on Brazilian football star Neymar Jr. to front its organic cotton underwear line (on a three-year deal).

Sané said: “I am very happy to be the face of Nike Underwear for this season, as I see it as an opportunity to share the products that I like a lot.”

A two-pack of Nike Underwear’s ‘ReLuxe’ fitted sports trunks is retailing at £29 from retailers including JD Sports from today.
