Nike to open Nike Unite concept store in Portsmouth's Gunwharf Quays

Nike is to open its latest retail concept, Nike Unite, in Portsmouth's Gunwharf Quays in Spring 2022. The community-focused concept aims to help locals connect more closely with sport, with locally curated products reflecting the interests of the community.

The new lease sees Nike expand its existing 8,570 sq ft store at Gunwharf Quays to a 11,160 sq ft space, where it will create new in-and-out-of-store experiences that celebrate sport and the local community.

At the new-look store, guests will be welcomed by an in-store community wall highlighting the store team and local partnerships, as well as local landmarks and hometown athletes to help local residents feel represented in the space.

Nike introduced the Nike Unite concept in November 2020 as its fourth retail store format along with Nike House of Innovation, Nike Rise and Nike Live. The sports giant has opened six branches in the UK, Germany, the US and South Korea, with more stores to open in the coming months.
