Global sportswear and footwear brand Nike has outlined its progress in the areas of sustainability, diversity and corporate responsibility in its 2020 Impact Report, revealing further goals for these areas to meet before 2025.
In 2020, the company launched its Supplier Climate Action Program, seeking to promote carbon reductions at its material and finished goods manufacturers.
The targets for 2025 are industry-leading, with Nike aiming to:
- Tie executive compensation to the 2025 target performance
- Leverage annual milestones to improve performance management
- Extend accountability of targets deeper into the value chain, with new targets focused on waste, labor and supplier diversity
- Align with Science Based Targets and Sustainable Development Goals
