Nike commences refurbishment of Westfield London store
Sportswear and footwear brand Nike has commenced refurbishment of its Westfield London store. The store is located in a large retail unit on the first floor of the Westfield London shopping centre and is currently covered by large boards.
Nike currently operates 40 locations in the UK, including its flagship Nike Town on Oxford Circus. No date has been announced for when the re-opening of the Nike store.
US-based shoe brand Skechers will be moving in next door to the refurbished Nike store, as it relocates from its current location on the ground floor. A store representative told TheIndustry.fashion that the move would happen in May 2022.
Sketchers will also open a new retail unit at Westfield Stratford in the first half of 2022.
The sportswear giant announced last week that it had temporarily closed all its stores in Russia and shut down all operations in the country. It also announced that its foundation would be donating £750,000 to the United Nations Children’s Fund and the International Rescue Committee to support relief efforts.
