Nike and Tiffany & Co. collaboration confirmed
The news that Nike and luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co. are collaborating on a black suede low-top Air Force 1- featuring a Tiffany blue leather swoosh – was confirmed yesterday, 30 January 2023, following teasers on Instagram.
News of the collaboration was leaked and speculation has been circulating for days, but a teaser was posted on both Nike and Tiffany’s social media accounts and also featured in a New York Times ad in the newspaper’s printed Sunday edition. It reportedly showed a Tiffany blue shoe box with a Nike swoosh, with the words: “A legendary pair.”
The shoes feature tonal black laces and subtle Tiffany branding, including an 1837 moniker, relating to the year Tiffany & Co. was founded in New York.
According to reports, the Tiffany & Co. x Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘1837’ is expected to retail for $400. A release date has not yet been revealed, but it is likely to hit stores in spring 2023.
Following LVMH's £12 billion purchase of the US luxury jeweller in January 2021, it has been pushing its fashion cross-over credentials. Earlier this month it unveiled a collaboration with Italian luxury house Fendi, with Tiffany's house blue applied to Fendi's signature 'baguette' bag.
