Next partners with Morrisons on collect and returns service trial

Next has unveiled a new collect and returns service trial with supermarket giant Morrisons, installing Next branded 'pods' in supermarket carparks.

The retailer has opened test locations at Morrisons carparks in Leominster, Herefordshire and Canvey Island, Essex. The service allows shoppers to collect and return online purchases from the fashion retailer contactlessly.

It has selected the initial two locations specifically as there are no Next stores in close proximity, with the aim to offer greater convenience for customers.

If the trial proves successful, the company hopes to roll the service out to other locations across the UK.

Morrisons has previously launched ventures with both Amazon and Deliveroo this year in an effort to rapidly increase its online delivery service in response to the online shopping boom of 2020.

Last month, Next revealed better-than-expected sales over the summer, with strong trading in children’s clothing and homeware products but a fall in formal and party clothes due to the pandemic.
