A new range of functional and flattering activewear is available now on the Next website and in selected stores from 30 December, following a collaboration between Next and Olympic Gold Medallist Denise Lewis OBE.

Designed for “the gym of life,” the first ever Denise Lewis Edit for Spring 2021 features performance clothing essentials such as leggings, sports bras and breathable tops, as well as athleisure staples including super-soft sweaters and heavier-weight hoodies, in sizes 6 to 22 or XS to XXL.

Suitable for a host of different workouts, garments are made from breathable fabrics in plain and printed designs keep the wearer cool, while practical inner waistbands and side pockets are designed to keep personal items secure.

Sweat-wicking squat-proof leggings also ensure maximum comfort and manoeuvrability during workouts, whilst also providing shape and lift to the legs.

A range of lightweight yet supportive technical trainers, suitable for running and high impact activities, have also been developed as part of the edit.

Available in four colours, the trainers feature a moulded heel to prevent inward or outward pronation.

Lewis, who has been road-testing the range for months, said: “I am seriously impressed with Next's range of activewear.

“From squat-proof leggings (which don't fall down!) to sports bras fit for various workout types - there's something for every shape and size.”

As a mother of four, it was also important that the new range, “empathised with busy women” and mums on the go, Lewis added.

As such, the versatile and easy to throw on range has also been designed to complement, “the gym of life” – whether that’s lunging to pick up toys or jogging to the school gates at 3pm.

“What I love about activewear is that it’s easy. It doesn’t matter what time of the day I put it on. It’s simple. I can go to the gym, I can pick up the kids from school. It’s just comfortable and I feel good in it,” Lewis added.
