OneAdvanced, a UK-based software company, has launched OneAdvanced AI, a secure and private Large Language Model (LLM) designed to meet the growing concerns businesses and retailers face around the unauthorised use of AI tools by employees.

With employees using AI tools without always notifying their employers or adhering to IT policies, businesses risk exposing sensitive data. OneAdvanced AI directly responds to these concerns by offering a fully encrypted, private environment where businesses can use AI safely and securely.

Amanda Grant, Chief Product Officer at OneAdvanced, said: "Business leaders across the world are grappling with how to use AI tools to improve their organisations, speed up processes and unlock data. Relying on tools that learn from the information uploaded is too risky. They need confidence that their data remains safe. OneAdvanced AI does that."

For retail businesses looking to leverage AI for everything from customer service to inventory management, OneAdvanced AI offers tailored solutions that integrate seamlessly into their operations. One of its key features, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, allows businesses to use their own data to tailor AI responses to specific needs, such as answering customer queries or assisting with complex supply chain decisions.

Jonathan Ritchie, Director of Digital Innovation at Mastercall Healthcare, an early adopter of the technology, added: "For Mastercall Healthcare, implementing private, secure AI isn't merely an option—it's a critical necessity. This approach enables us to leverage AI's capabilities while maintaining strict control over our sensitive data."

The AI Assistants feature further supports businesses by automating time-consuming tasks like comparing supplier contracts or checking for policy compliance, freeing up valuable time for retail teams to focus on customer-facing activities. Additionally, Agentic AI capabilities help businesses learn from their data to make better-informed decisions, such as identifying inefficiencies in stock management or forecasting customer trends.

Simon Walsh, CEO at OneAdvanced, explained: "Today’s organisations face the dual challenge of managing a rapidly evolving technology landscape while ensuring strategic growth and operational efficiency. By coupling innovation with robust security standards, we can drive economic growth while protecting sensitive data. OneAdvanced AI represents a crucial step forward in ensuring that organisations can seize these opportunities without risk."

"Our mission is to empower businesses by giving them a safe and secure platform to explore the benefits of AI without compromising on data integrity. With OneAdvanced AI, businesses can drive innovation while protecting what matters most."

As AI tools become an increasingly important part of the retail landscape, from improving customer service to streamlining inventory processes, the ability to control and monitor AI usage will be essential for businesses looking to maintain customer trust and gain a competitive edge.
