New Look will open its largest-ever concept store at Metrocentre on 9 July, marking the next phase of the retailer's investment in digitally enhanced in-store shopping experiences.

Located in the shopping destination’s Red Mall, the new 11,000 sq ft store will offer an expanded womenswear, accessories and 915 teen range, alongside a suite of enhanced digital services, including Click & Collect, order-in-store, self-service returns and digital browsing. Refreshed fitting rooms and showroom-inspired displays also form part of the new concept.

The opening marks a new chapter in New Look’s 20-year presence at Metrocentre and follows the launch of similar concept stores at Bluewater, Lakeside and Milton Keynes. The retailer said the latest location forms part of its ongoing rollout of its omni-hub format, designed to create a more seamless shopping experience by connecting its stores with its online platform.

The investment also builds on New Look’s wider digital strategy, following the launch of its Club New Look loyalty programme, which has now surpassed one million members, alongside a £30 million investment in digital capabilities to deliver a more personalised customer experience.

Mark Matthews, Retail Director at New Look, said: “Opening our largest-ever concept store is a proud moment for New Look and reflects how we’re continuing to reimagine the role our stores play for customers.”

“This space showcases the very best of what our omni-hub format can offer, combining a wider fashion range with smarter services and digital features that make shopping simpler, more inspiring and more connected than ever before.”

The opening comes as Metrocentre continues to strengthen its fashion offer. The shopping centre recently welcomed Hollister and has also signed Bershka and Lefties, both of which are due to open in the coming months.

Ben Cox, Director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, asset manager of Metrocentre, said: “We’re pleased to see New Look mark their 20-year presence at Metrocentre with this exciting new concept store in the latest evolution of that partnership.”

“Together, these investments reflect a fashion hub that’s constantly evolving to meet the expectations of our customers, offering a compelling mix of choice, experience and value.”

To mark the opening, New Look will host a series of launch-day events, including complimentary matcha drinks, a live DJ, hidden prizes and goody bags for the first 200 customers who make a purchase.
