American footwear and performance apparel brand New Balance has announced the signing of a sponsorship deal with Liverpool FC’s rising star Harvey Elliott.

At 18 years old, Elliott is one of England’s fastest rising talents in sports, having broken several records since his arrival in top-flight football.

The teenager was Fulham FC’s youngest ever player, after making his senior debut aged just 15. Later that season, he became the Premier League’s youngest debutant at just 16 years and 30 days.

The England youth international is also the youngest ever player to start a match for Liverpool FC.

Since 2013, New Balance has considerably increased the number of athletes it sponsors. Noticeable athletes signed by the company include Olympian Stephanie Twell and Trayvon Bromell.

On joining New Balance, Harvey Elliott said: “Signing with New Balance is a massive step in my career. I’m pleased with my performances this season, but I’m also focused on working hard and taking my game to the next level. It feels good to be working with a global brand that wants to help me get there”.

New Balance Global Football General Manager, Kenny McCallum added: “We’re excited to have one of the most prodigious young talents in Europe join the New Balance family. Harvey has an incredible amount of flair and a positive approach to the game, which makes him exciting to watch”.
