NET-A-PORTER selects four emerging designers for the Spring/Summer 2020 season of The Vanguard
Four emerging designers have been selected by NET-A-PORTER buyers to take part in the Spring/Summer 2020 season of The Vanguard mentorship programme this year.
A global line-up has been selected and they are:
Christopher John Rogers: A New York based eveningwear designer recognised for his use of bold colours and "magnificent" silhouettes. A mint green taffeta pannier ball skirt and top sent down the runway at New York Fashion Week was one of the most Instagrammed looks of the week.
Ioannes: A Parisian based womenswear brand founded by Johannes Boehl Cronau known for its eccentric spin on modern femininity. The recently established label has gained recognition for its impressive application techniques featured in prints throughout the label’s collection, making each design different and unique.
S.Joon: Italian based Designer, Sahar Asvandi's creates timeless bags inspired by sculptural shapes with immaculate edges. Luxury handbags that are designed as wardrobe staples with a chic aesthetic.
Gauchere: Founded by Christine Statz's, a Parsons School of Design graduate who creates contemporary womenswear inspired by Parisian minimalism.
Every season up to four emerging designers enter The Vanguard programme and receive mentorship, training and guidance from NET-A-PORTER’s team of global industry experts covering areas such as buying, business strategy, marketing & PR, social media, tech and advice on entering new markets and territories.
The brands remain on the programme, for a few seasons until their businesses are sufficiently matured. They will then graduate making way for new entrants.
Each designer's collection will retail on NET-A-PORTER for the season.
