Nautica relaunches in UK and Europe with refreshed look

US-based lifestyle apparel, footwear and accessories brand Nautica is relaunching in the UK and Europe with a refreshed website and new designs.

Founded in 1983 by David Chu, Nautica began with only six outerwear styles and has grown into a global lifestyle brand with over 35 categories across more than 65 countries. The relaunch hopes to continue its vision of bringing "the inspiration of the sea to everyday style across the world".

The brand was sold to VF Corporation in 2003 and was later acquired by Authentic Brands Group in March 2018. US fashion design and distribution company Focus Brands has since acquired the UK and European licence for Nautica and its sister brand Nautica Competition.

Nautica Competition includes everyday streetwear designs, with features such as bold logos and colour blocking. Both brands brands are now available on their own ecommerce sites, as well as on ASOS.
