Global lifestyle, apparel, footwear and accessories brand Nautica, which relaunched in the UK and EU last year, has joined forces with online retailer Debenhams to expand its customer reach.

The nautical-themed brand is now available to purchase through the online marketplace at, adding to its portfolio of third-party retailers including Asos.

Nautica relaunched in the UK and Europe with a refreshed website and new designs in March 2022. The lifestyle brand is renowned for its preppy apparel, with designs embodying the inspiration of the sea in everyday style.

Founded in 1983 by David Chu, Nautica began with only six outerwear styles and has grown into a global lifestyle brand with over 35 categories across more than 65 countries.

The partnership comes as Nautica celebrates its 40th year, with the full spring/summer ‘23 collection available to purchase online now. The collection, which starts at £25, features menswear and womenswear, with pieces ranging from tees to swim shorts.

Nautica Competition, Nautica's sister brand, will also be stocked on the marketplace. It includes everyday streetwear designs, with features such as bold logos and colour blocking.

Jennie Bianco, Head of Marketing for Nautica EU, commented: "We’re always looking for ways to make shopping with Nautica more convenient for our customers, so we’re delighted to be able to expand the brand's accessibility by being available on"

"Being stocked on the Debenhams site will give Nautica visibility to new customers who may not have heard of the brand before, and we're excited to share the Nautica offering with the Debenhams' consumer."

Nautica was sold to VF Corporation in 2003 and was later acquired by Authentic Brands Group in March 2018. US fashion design and distribution company Focus Brands has since acquired the UK and European licence for Nautica and its sister brand Nautica Competition.
