N Brown welcomes back Clare Empson as Supply Chain Director
Clare Empson is returning to N Brown Group as Director of Supply Chain, Property and Group Efficiency, just five months after she left her position as Chief Customer Operations Officer at the company.
In her new role, she will focus on strengthening operations, delivering value for customers and supporting strategic transformation, Empson shared in a post on LinkedIn.
She added: "I am looking forward to working closely with our teams as the business continues into its next phase, while reconnecting with partners and suppliers across the network. Excited to hit the ground running, reconnect with familiar faces, and meet new colleagues over the coming weeks."
Empson originally joined the N Brown Group - the owner of JD Williams, Jacamo and Simply Be - as Director of Supply Chain in 2024 and was then promoted to Chief Customer Operations Officer in February 2025.
She joined the group after climbing the ranks at Ted Baker for close to 25 years. Her last role at the fashion brand was Director of Operations, which she held for three years.
Empson's return to the company follows the recent appointment of Dan Joy as Chief Executive Officer and Malcolm Le May as Chair, following the departure of Steve Johnson after ten years in leadership.
In March, it was announced that Joy would step into the CEO role after serving as N Brown’s CEO of Financial Services for the past six years.
An N Brown spokesperson commented on Emspon's appointment: "N Brown has evolved its management structure under the leadership of CEO Dan Joy to strengthen accountability and accelerate its strategic transformation in support of its growth ambitions. As part of this focus on strengthening operational delivery, Clare Empson has returned to the business as Director of Supply Chain, Property and Group Efficiency. Clare brings valuable experience and deep knowledge of N Brown, and her appointment supports the next phase of the company’s transformation."
