N Brown, the online shopping giant, has partnered up with fashion tailoring platform True Fit to offer customers a new selection of smart tools to offer personalised fit and style recommendations.

The retail group, behind brands including Simply Be, JD Williams, Jacamo, Ambrose Wilson and Fashion World, has teamed up with True Fit to enhance the customer shopping experience.

True Fit is a data-driven personalisation platform for footwear and clothing and claims its understanding of consumer preferences and garment attributes help retailers to better personalise all touchpoints of the consumer journey.

Its offer works across search & display, to on site discovery and inspiration, to conversion confidence and return reduction, re-engagement with personalised emails, retargeting, chat and voice applications, and new in-store experiences.  It also offers analytics and insights help retailers and brands “make smarter merchandising, marketing, and manufacturing decisions”.

True Fit’s Confidence solution collects data from millions of anonymous shoppers to deliver customised fit ratings and size recommendations built on each customer’s unique body shape and likings.

N Brown will be using True Discovery to allow customers personalised product recommendations which is a result of both hyper-personalised style and fit preferences, transactional data and product attributes.

Adam Warne, chief information officer at N Brown stated: “Data-driven customer insight and personalisation is key to unlocking operational efficiencies and improving customer experience. Our partnership with True Fit allows us to enhance our customers’ journeys with personalised relevant experiences ensuring that we deliver better fitting products for our customers to make them look and feel amazing.

"The strongest customer feedback we receive is the emotional response that a good or poorly fitting piece of clothing elicits so we know fit is a crucial issue for our customers”.

True Fit has rapidly growing through securing investment worth $100m from leading venture capitalists such as Jump Capital, Signal Peak Ventures, Intel Capital and Cross Creek Capital. The platform has partnered with 250 international retailers including the likes of Macy’s, Kate Spade, Under Armour, Ralph Lauren and Levi’s.
