MSGM to open first standalone store in London
Luxury Italian brand MSGM is set to open its first standalone store in London at 278 Brompton Cross, as it also prepares to open a pop-up in Selfridges next month.
The store, which counts Joseph, Carven and Stella McCartney as near neighbours, is set over two levels (ground floor and basement) and 2,000 sq ft. The brand has signed a 10-year lease.
"MSGM has undergone exceptional growth over the last few years and we are delighted its first UK store will be at Brompton Cross," said Tiffany Luckett, associate director in the Central London retail team at property firm Savills. "This is a testament to the success of the area and its reputation as a renowned destination for luxury brands," she added.
Known for its bold, contemporary designs, MSGM was founded by Massimo Giorgetti in partnership with the Paoloni Gorup in 2009, and made its retail debut in Milan in 2013. It has recently opened stores in Xian and Bejing in China and Seoul, South Korea. It next has its sights set on a store in New York's Soho in 2019.
