M&S to open larger store at Stane Retail Park in Colchester

Marks & Spencer has announced its plans to open a new, larger store at Stane Retail Park in Colchester, featuring a new Foodhall, M&S Café, clothing and home departments. 

The expansion news follows previously announced plans from M&S to open an M&S Foodhall in Stane Retail Park, with the retailer now extending into an adjacent unit to create a new, larger store with 62,000 sq ft of trading space.

The £70 million Stane Retail Park will be completed this month, with M&S soon starting work on its new store, set to open this Autumn.

As part of the relocation, the existing M&S Colchester store will close later this year. It will remain open until the new store is ready.

Andrew Icke, Regional Manager for M&S, said: “We’re excited to announce our plans to invest in the local area and open a brand new, larger M&S store at Stane Retail Park. It will offer customers in Colchester a much bigger range of M&S products across our Foodhall and clothing and home departments. The new store will be finished and open to customers later this autumn.”
