Mr Porter managing director Toby Bateman is leaving the YOOX Net-A-Porter Group-owned menswear luxury site, it has been confirmed.

Bateman joined the company almost 10 years ago as buying director and stepped up to the role of managing director in November 2015.

In a statement YNAP said: “We would like to thank Toby Bateman for his long-term commitment. During the nearly 10 years he has been with the organisation, he, together with his talented team, have achieved many notable successes."

It added: “We look forward to continuing to grow the business, as part of Yoox Net-A-Porter Group, through an exciting period of global expansion and development in luxury fashion and hard luxury.”

Bateman's departure follows the appointment last week of a number of new executives as the group, including a new managing director for sister business Nicola Brandolese, who joined from luxury footwear brand Giuseppe Zanotti.

Bateman is a seasoned menswear industry professional having begun his career at House of Fraser before moving to Harvey Nichols and Selfridges as buying manager. He joined Mr Porter, the brainchild of Net-A-Porter.com founder Dame Natalie Massenet, before it was launched in 2010.
