MR PORTER launches 'Gone Surfin', a series of exclusive capsule collections

MR PORTER has launched ‘Gone Surfin’, a series of exclusive capsule collections in parternship with 15 leading brands.

The capsule collection compromises a total of 171 exclusive pieces of clothing, shoes, accessories and lifestyle products.

15 brands have been enlisted by MR PORTER for the collaboration. Those include: ahnah, Birdwell, Faherty, Go Barefoot, James Perse, Miansai, Mollusk, Noon Goons, Outerknown, Peyote Bird, Pilgrim Surf + Supply, Reyn Spooner, Saturdays NYC, Sonic Editions, and The Elder Statesman.

The collections features each collaborator’s own unique designs on the surfer style, with retail prices ranging from £5 to £1,005.

The capsules cover all kinds of garments related to surfing, including Saturdays NYC cozy hooded sweaters and seaside-appropriate board shorts as well as  Elder Statesman sartorially-conscious shirts. The range also includes essential surfing accessories such sunglasses from ahnah.

Buying director at Mr Porter Sam Kershaw said: “In our celebration of surf culture, we collaborated with an expansive and defining group of surf-minded partners, each with their own unique voice, history and engagement with the surfing lifestyle. The collection is wide-ranging and the appeal is universal; both for our customers who are surf zealots through to those who like to embrace the casual style.”

The launch of ‘Gone Surfin’ is supported by a global creative campaign featuring South African surfer Mikey February.

In addition, MR PORTER will also launch an array of dedicated editorial and social content across its online magazine The Journal and social media platforms.
