Mousse Partners invests in 66°North as Woolsey joins as president

Mousse Partners has invested in heritage Icelandic label 66°North and announced the appointment of former NET-A-PORTER managing director Matthew Woolsey as global president.

The New York-based investment firm is owned by Charles Heilbronn, who is half-brother to Chanel's Alain and Gérard Wertheimer the owners of Chanel, intends to grow the brand globally.

Founded in 1926, 66°North currently has stores in Iceland and Denmark and is set to launch on Matchesfashion.com this year. The brand specialises in premium, technical outerwear for men and woman and recently collaborated with Danish brand Ganni.

Woolsey joined NET-A-PORTER from Barneys New York in January 2017 and left to take up his new role earlier this month
