Mountain Warehouse launches online marketplace

Outdoorwear and lifestyle retailer Mountain Warehouse has launched a new online marketplace, hoping to offer consumers a "one-stop-shop for all outdoor clothing and equipment".

Accessible via the Mountain Warehouse website, sellers can gain access to the retailer’s 1.7 million active online customers and 600,000 weekly visitors.

The marketplace will sell third-party brands including Nike, Slazenger and Donna Cycling. The platform will also feature a kidswear extension, specialist outdoors categories and a wider range of outdoor living and garden products.

When a customer is ready to check out, they will be able to see a breakdown in their basket between branded products, as well as delivery options. While Mountain Warehouse is responsible for first-line customer care, each seller is responsible for shipping and delivery.
