Morrisons launches website for clothing line Nutmeg

Morrisons has taken its clothing line Nutmeg online making it available to customers unable to visit one of its stores.

The line comprises baby and kidswear, womenswear and menswear essentials with the current range including jumpsuits in bold tones and trucker jackets at £18, light weight dresses in seasonal prints from £15, as well as wardrobe staples such as leggings, tees and loungewear starting at £4.

Its move online follows news that the supermarket is planning to open a dedicated Nutmeg store in in Bolsover, Derbyshire offering its value clothing and homewares. At present babywear and childrenswear is available at 494 of its supermarkets with the womenswear available in about half of those.

Nutmeg was launched in 2013 with childrenswear and later added clothing for adults. It is now a top 10 childrenswear brand in the UK.

At present the online service offers delivery, priced at £2.97, within 14 days and a 30 days return to store or online policy. A £3.97 next day delivery option, as well as a click and collect service, will be available from all Morrisons stores in the near future.

Christine Bryce, Nutmeg Clothing Director at Morrisons said: “With customers looking to shop online, we will be able to serve more people in more parts of the UK, including those who are self-isolating. We will be offering them access to current trends, seasonal staples and best in class products.”
