Monsieur Christian Lacroix launches new athleisure collection with Desigual

Monsieur Christian Lacroix has announced a partnership with Desigual to launch its AW21 collection. The new capsule collection has been designed for women on the go, with Lacroix introducing athleisure for the first time in his 10-year collaboration.

The collection includes various sporty garments including leggings, fitness bra tops, padded coats inspired by trekking and trainers.

The garments aim to maintain Desigual’s boho prints, pictorial motifs, flowers and patchwork. The athleisure aesthetic is developed through neon brushstrokes and the influence of Fauvist painters, who were known for their provocative use of colour.

The colour palette of the capsule includes a mix of dark winter solids and bursts of neon detailing. The collection highlights the blend of athletic and leisure apparel, where sporty garments have broken out of the gym and sneaked into our everyday looks.

The Mr Christian Lacroix x Desigual collection is available online and in the brands Regent Street store.
