Jewellery brand Monica Vinader has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Sustainable Development category.

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise celebrates outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of Innovation, International Trade and Sustainable Development.

Winning businesses can fly the Queen’s Award flag at their main office and use the emblem on their marketing materials for five years. Winners are also given a Grant of Appointment and a commemorative crystal trophy.

In a statement on Instagram, the brand said: "We’re proud to announce that we’ve won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the UK’s most prestigious business award, in the Sustainable Development category. Since the brand was founded, we’ve been committed to accelerating change across the jewellery industry by taking action and constantly reevaluating how we can do more for the planet. We are thrilled to share this win with our team and partners."

The award follows Monica Vinidar's sustainability target to accelerate change across the jewellery industry by delivering goals aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development agenda.

The carbon neutral brand uses 100% recycled gold vermeil and sterling silver. Along with fully recyclable packaging and reusable pouches. In April 2022, the brand launched a new biodiversity project to preserve the British Countryside in Norfolk, home of Monica Vinader's global head office.
