Monica Vinader opens store in Covent Garden

01 November 2017

Jeweller Monica Vinader has opened her fourth standalone store in the newly revamped and pedestrianised King Street area of London's Covent Garden.

The concept and design for the store was conceived by Vinader herself. Upon entering the period facade of the store visitors are met with a rose-mirrored wall, 1950s Gio Ponti chairs and a restored original wood floor. Standout features of the store design include two crystal Sputnik chandeliers and a folded pink velvet wall.

It also features a signature Monica Vinader engraving station in the form of a bespoke concrete corner bar, where customers will be invited to have their pieces personalised with their own handwriting, doodles and messages using an in-store precision engraver.

To the rear of the store a large window looks out onto Ch.Ramphal Sangwan Park, a courtyard that is enjoyed by neighbouring boutiques and restaurants.

Vinader said she was "thrilled to be a part of the transformation of Covent Garden and to become part of this world class shopping destination."

"My new boutique is a true embodiment of the brand ethos from the bespoke interiors and engraving bar, to the luxury boutique vibe found in this bustling central location," she added.

In UK Monica Vinader also has stores in Canary Wharf, Duke of York Square (just off King's Road in Chelsea) and South Molton Street, as well as a number of concessions in department stores such as Selfridges, Harrods and Liberty. Globally the brand has boutiques in countries such as the US, Canada, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea and Hong Kong.

The business was founded by the designer of the same name in 2008 and has found a lucrative niche between fashion and fine jewellery, and is best known for its stackable and personalised bracelets.
