Grazioli joins Missoni from Burberry, where he worked for the British house's Creative Director Riccardo Tisci as Collections Director. He also served worked under Tisci at Givenchy. Prior to that, Grazioli was the senior womenswear designer for Hermès.

His first collection will be the men's and women's pre-collection in May, whilst his first runway will be for Spring/Summer 2023, showing at Milan Fashion Week in September.

Livio Proli, CEO of Missoni said in a press release: “In accordance with the family and FSI Fund, we have elected Filippo Grazioli, a young designer who can count on 18 years of solid experience in prestigious fashion companies, to raise Missoni’s profile and image in the luxury market and further strengthen the modernisation process already initiated.

"Thanks to these two new appointments, the company is strengthening its foundations for the future. We offer our best wishes for future success to Alberto Caliri and Filippo Grazioli, in the knowledge that Missoni is already well on the way to the construction of a Community which enjoys a prestigious reputation in the luxury market while maintaining a high level of commitment to virtuous and positive behaviour."

Grazioli added: "I’m honoured to be joining the world of Missoni, a label that has left its mark in the history of Italian style, maintaining a remarkable integrity over the course of nearly seven decades.

"I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given, and the possibility to shape my experience further in a new vision that maintains the joyfulness, freshness, sense of colour, and positivity that are the core qualities of Missoni."
