Missguided stops website and app orders

Missguided has closed its website and app, with no further information released regarding when it will resume online operations.

The online retailer fell into administration on 31 May and gradually closed down its website on Wednesday 1 June, the same day that Frasers Group bought the business out of administration in a £20 million deal.

At the time of writing no announcement has been made about when the website and app will be operational again. Both the website and app currently display a notice about website maintenance.

Reportedly customers are also no longer able to login to their online accounts or the Missguided app, with no guarantee that orders will be processed. Missguided customers have since taken to social media to complain.

Kevin Mountford, Co-founder of Raisin UK, gave this advice to Missguided customers: “Whilst we would expect Fraser’s to temporarily shut down the Missguided website as they migrate the system to Fraser’s and also do a stock count, there is huge anxiety for Missguided customers as their questions go unanswered.

“Up until the announcement, Missguided were still taking orders online and via their app. Consumers return rights cannot be affected by a company going into administration. You can still make returns and you should still receive refunds.

“Saying that, Missguided have made it harder to get refunds with the returns portal now being unavailable as customers can no longer access their accounts. If you can, hold onto the items while Missguided resolve issues with their website and app and then make your returns."
